I love teaching about Dr Martin Luther King at my school. Because his dream was that kids of all colors and nationalities would learn and play together. All I have to do is have the kids look around our class, and we can see that his dream did come true. This year, my students are African-American, Caucasian, Bengali, Bosnian, Yemeni, Polish and Albanian. And THEY DON'T CARE. They all play together, they all learn together, they all sing together. I only hope they feel this way forever. Looking at my past students, now in high school, college, and the working world, well, some still do!
